Staff Engagement and Professional Development
At The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), we believe that our staff are our greatest asset. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment where staff can thrive professionally and personally. Through a variety of engagement activities, professional development opportunities, and initiatives that encourage collaboration and feedback, EdUHK aims to create a vibrant and dynamic workplace for all employees.
Staff Engagement Programmes
At EdUHK, staff engagement is a key priority. We regularly organise staff relation activities and interest classes that promote camaraderie, well-being, and a sense of belonging among staff members. These initiatives not only foster a positive work environment but also help to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Professional Development Support
EdUHK is committed to the continuous professional growth of its employees. We provide a range of opportunities for staff to upskill, reskill, and advance in their careers.
- Staff Development Sponsorship: To encourage continuous learning, EdUHK offers Staff Development Sponsorships, providing financial support for staff members who wish to pursue further studies, attend conferences, or engage in external training programmes that enhance their expertise and skills.
- Sabbatical and Development Leave: Staff members at EdUHK may also apply for Sabbatical Leave and Development Leave, allowing them to focus on research, personal development, or specialised training that benefits both their career and the university’s objectives.
Training and Workshops
EdUHK provides a range of in-house training programmes and workshops to ensure staff stay up-to-date with the latest developments in their fields and enhance their professional capabilities, whether through technology updates, improved administrative processes, or sector-specific knowledge sharing. In addition, staff can participate in interest classes, offering opportunities to further develop both personal and professional skills, fostering greater engagement and growth.
